Holler to Highway is a one-hour documentary exploring how the music of East Kentucky helped shaped the American soundtrack and why its influence continues to define the future of American roots music. Through the voices of musicians, storytellers, and people who call the region home, the film follows Appalachian music from its traditional beginnings to its place at the center of today's roots and Americana movement. 

From the holler to the highway, East Kentucky has been telling America's story through music for generations. At the center of Holler to Highway Sundy Best, whose music became a bridge between East Kentucky's traditoinal sound and a new generation of Appalachian artists. Their story provides a lens though which the film explores how music born in the hollers found its way onto the national stages and helped redefine how the rest of the country hear Kentucky. 

More than a story about music, Holler to Highway is a story about place, identity, resilience, and the power of a culture to shape the sound of a nation.
